Where
Santo Domingo is the Capital of the Dominican Republic, my father grew up there and my mother lived a couple hours away. Going to the country where my parents grew up is something I would to do more often if I could. Most of my extended family lives there and being close to my culture is a rarity, so I always cherish it.

Why
Every time I have been in Santo Domingo there was always days I would spend with family, dinners full of laughter, domino matches, cooling swims on the beach, and the best food I have ever tested. When traveling to other places like Greece or France I felt like I was a explorer. When traveling to the Dominican Republic it was like I was experiencing the life of my family and the culture I want to connect with.
